Actually I tried again this evening and it seems that it's failing again, with
the same error... I'll provide the full log with --log-level=debug.

Thanks a lot, Tanu! Let me ask: is a warning the sort of message that appears
in bold when you are reading the logs through journalctl? Or only errors do
that (by default, at least)?

I've tried that and I could not make it work.
The problem, as I see it, is that hangouts allow one to select output and input
before the call is started - there are just dropdowns in the settings dialog

There have been problems in the past with root overwriting things in user
directories when using sudo, which makes me think that it's best to not blindly

I actually have no idea what might have fixed this in v12 - I'll leave this bug
open until tantrido has tested v12 and reported if it helps or not. The Intel
HDMI LPE fixes shouldn't affect NVidia, and the
