I'm trying to play music on a headless server, on which firefox will be
playing a streaming channel.
If I'm on the headless server all works well.
But when I ssh into the server as the same user, nothing works. If I
start pulseaudio:
pulseaudio -D
pa finds no sinks:
pacmd list-sinks
1 sink
> Maybe the main user doesn't know the path to the socket.
> As the main user try `pactl --server=/tmp/pulse-server info`
> If that works it confirms my suspicion.
Problem solved. It was something similar, I put default server into the
system wide /etc/pulse/client.conf instead of
/home/secondary

I've finally managed to steal some time to roll out the first release
candidate for 14.0. This will almost certainly not cause a
supervolcano, or make seagulls your preferred method for garbage
disposal.
