I need to reference a defined type in my documentation.
The following code works for a class : {my_module::my_class}
I want to have the same behavior for a defined type but the output is wrong.

Hello,
We have been using puppet for several years now and up until now we have not tried to use parameters in puppet templates.
I tried to implement a simple example: <%
| $x, $y, $z='this is a default value' |
%>
However, each time I try to validate it or put it in use in our Dev environment, I get this error: Error: Syntax error at '|' at puppet/modules//templates/.conf.epp:111:4 Error: Errors while validating epp
I try to validate the template with: puppet epp validate
And use the template in a class with the following code: file { '': ensure => file, content => epp('profile//.conf.epp') }
I have been troubleshooting this issue but I cannot see any error made

Hi, also an issue for us on Oracle Linux 6.x and 7.x. Currently running Puppet 4.3.2, but will be upgrading shortly. What 'more information' is needed on this ticket as indicated by the status? I'd be happy to run some tests and supply it. A simple minimal test is:
puppet apply -e "yumrepo { test: ensure=>'present', baseurl=>'http://fakeyumprovider.com/testrepo'}"
Which creates /etc/yum.repos.d/test.repo with content. Then run
puppet apply -e "yumrepo { 'test': ensure=>'absent', }"
Which leaves /etc/yum.repos.d/test.repo as zero bytes.
