 We already have the private keyword reserved, syntax is easily modified to support this. But it is more than just taking on the `assert_private()` function since the private keyword can be applied to not only an entire class but also to individual parameters.

 Ben Ford That seems like a tie from data to logic to me (and likely to get confusing).   Why not just make assert_private() a native function and have Strings just pick up the fact that the class has that call in it?

  Re: Bolt's r10k should use %LOCALAPPDATA% for Windows cachedir

 This seems to be a problem not infrequently for corporate Windows users.

Kevin Reeuwijk [March 1] [...] it has nothing to with roaming profiles, but with a user’s homedrive. This is something you don’t usually see in Linux but very prevalent in corporate Windows environments. It gives the user a mapped network drive to a personal space on a file server, to promote storing documents on the server instead of on the client. Some users employ Offline Files functionality to keep this drive available even in disconnected scenarios, but it’s not a loved feature due to plenty of bugs. Hence there are also plenty of users that simply don’t have their homedrive (H: in this case) mapped at all when disconnected from the corpnet. That was the case here and created a problem for r10k caching.

Kevin Reeuwijk [March 6] [...] %HOMEDRIVE% will get set as soon as the IT admin configures a home drive for the user in Active Directory. This is still a common practice, so it's something you'll encounter frequently. In the Bolt Workshop in Denmark today, we had another 2 users that had this issue.

 What about adding a list of private class names to metadata.json instead? That wouldn't require any keyword changes or extra functions and it would be forwards/backwards compatible.

 A new feature was introduced with https://github.com/puppetlabs/orchestrator_client-ruby/pull/19 that allowed persistent HTTP connections. The implementation has a dependency on https://github.com/drbrain/net-http-persistent which is an unmaintained project that is currently not compatible with Bolt on windows. This feature was released to Rubygems with an increment in the minor version from (from 0.3.x to 0.4.x) along with the work in https://tickets.puppetlabs.com/browse/BOLT-1076 In order to satisfy BOLT-1076, the persistent http connection commits will be reverted and a new patch version in the 0.3.x series will be released with the BOLT-1076 commits. The http persistence commits should be "un-reverted" and then re-factored to use gems that are compatible with bolt while providing the same persistent connection behavior and released as a 0.4.x version.

 We also stumbled across this issue. This issue results in other issues like:

pip3 gets the default package provider
templated repo files break because of os.release.major
monitoring that is depending on these entries wont work
 This issue breaks our whole automated infrastructure so we rolled back  to puppet5 with facter version 3.11.7 (commit efb78024806a461a4b0c46819979085362790520)

 The tidy resource currently doesn't allow removal of non-empty directories. But sometimes this is exactly what is needed. For example we have a Windows application which doesn't cleanup after itself and leaves behind lots of directories with name "out-*" which I would like to remove after some days. Unfortunately, those directories are written to the root of drive D:, alongside other directories, which ought to be kept (but shouldn't need to be traversed). So the approach I'd like to use is:

 tidy { 'cleanup_d':

   path =>  'D:/',

   matches => ['out-*'],

   age => '7d',
