However, Restarting the server DID CORRECT the issue for me. Worth a shot. Once I downgraded agent to 5.5.0 the problems went away without a restart. All kinds of mysterious problems come from doing that. That's why Puppet 4 and Puppet Server 2 are hosted in one repository, and Puppet 5 and Puppet Server 5 are hosted in another. There might be something fixable here (Henrik Lindberg?), but no guarantees.
