hi,

we're currently evaluating use of puppet agents on memory constrained
agents (like hypervisors and low-end vps servers). since our upgrade
to 3.0.1 they seem to consume more resources, ie. we observe nrpe
timeouts on those servers while puppet agent is running.

anybody has an experience on running puppet with low resources?

basically we want it to be slow (it might even run hourly and take 15
minutes to finish) but not eating up 50% or more of resources (some
vps ar as low as 256MB).

is there a chance for improvement if we switch from puppetlabs-
provided ruby 1.8.7-p370 to some more recent rvm-based 1.9.3?
