Hey Mike! I suspect that what you see is the result of modifying your basemodulepath or overriding your modulepath in an environment.conf file. They should be set something like the following:
root@master:~ # puppet master --configprint basemodulepath /etc/puppetlabs/code/modules:/opt/puppetlabs/puppet/modules root@master:~ # puppet master --configprint modulepath /etc/puppetlabs/code/environments/production/modules:/etc/puppetlabs/code/modules:/opt/puppetlabs/puppet/modules Hope that helps you track it down!
