Maybe I am missing something, but I am not getting any ec2_ facts on an
ec2 instance. My current testbed is a centos 5.5 server with facter
1.5.8 via epel. ( also broken on at least one of my Ubuntu tests also )
This made it work:
#if can_connect?(169.254.169.254,80)
metadata
