don't have problem here,
I have migrate a lot of debian guest (kernel 3.7), and win2012/2008.
I'm runing kernel 3.10 on host.
(I had migration problem previously between amd and xeons host with 2.6.32
kernel)

So the situation is better than expected. Nevertheless, we cannot release
code with reproducible bugs to stable repositories.
So the update from 2.1.2 to 2.1.3
also with kernel 2.6.32, I has problem of migration from opteron 63XX to
opteron 61XX
(qemu 2.1 and qemu 2.2)

No i didn't but i can't go back either as all my vms already run 2.2

And live migration works stable for you? Do you live migrate

Could you define slow and older more specific?
I have a reproducable problem on a host with:

Is this only happening using ide or is it a general thing?

Hi all,
We just updated the pvetest repository and uploaded a lot of latest packages
required to support ZFS on Linux.
Also note that we have downgraded pve-qemu-kvm from 2.2 to 2.1, because live
migration was unstable on some hosts. So please downgrade that package manually

on stackoverflow i read that vmware and RHEV / oVirt already do this in
clusters.
For mixed clusters, use the lowest available CPU version, so if one
host is Penryn and the other Nehalem, use Penryn on both. If you are
using RHEV or oVirt, this is already built in. VMWare have this called
Hi,
is there any way or has anybody thought about optimizing the cpu flags
in pve automatically?
Currently the default is kvm64 which is more like a very limited set of
cpu flags/features which qemu can software emulate.
For example on a modern intel CPU there is a really big bunch of

Seems a general problem.
But I also have problem with snapshots on total different hardware.
