proper solution. Solution 2 is safe since the setting is transparent

One question: Do you make backup to the same storage as the VM's reside
on?
If this is the case then I would imagine that speed were halfed.

I would also suggest adding ploop support to openvz as part of the
roadmap since ploop will give real live migration to CT's, improve
backup performance, add snapshot feature, and add support for thin
provisioned CT's.

In my dhcp server I use IO::Socket::IP. It works extremely well and is
a drop-in replacement for IO::Socket::INET. No code needs any changes;-)

not be necessary since each host knows the MAC for each VM
running on the host and because the discover request will contain the
MAC of the client we can filter on MAC in the DHCP server. This way
only the host hosting the client will respond to the DHCP request.

one node is handling DHCP requests at a time but this will break the
concept of multi master functionality in proxmox.

the changes to the 3.10 kernel because I suspected that changes to
2.6.32 of this kind was not appropriate due to the near end of life for
kernel 2.6.32.

It will not brake anything for current setups since current setups must
already be configured to use ALL for host and target groups since this
is the only way the current setup will work.
