I have successfully make a boot rom with coreboot using seabios as payload;-) So what is the advantage if that still uses seabios? I have asked myself the same question;-) The other possible payloads, as I see it, will not be sufficient for proxmox since they all miss iscsi and rbd boot, and most even miss virtio. From I have been able to find out the main goal of the project is to create a replacement for the boot loader and bios on physical computers.
