[pydotorg-www] ParallelProcessing page

2020-10-16 Thread Panagiotis Hadjidoukas
Dear admins,

My name is Panagiotis Hadjidoukas (Chatzidoukas) and I currently work at
IBM Research Europe (
https://researcher.watson.ibm.com/researcher/view.php?person=zurich-hat).
I would like to edit the https://wiki.python.org/moin/ParallelProcessing
and more specifically to add my recent work (torcpy) there.
You can find more information about torcpy in the following link:
https://pypi.org/project/torcpy/
It has been also published in the SoftwareX journal:
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2352711020300091

The library supports task-based parallelism on both shared and distributed
memory systems. In the second case, it uses the Message Passing Interface
(MPI) so it must be
very convenient for people that belong to the High Performance Computing
(HPC) community. At the same time, it fills the gap between HPC and Python
in a very simple way.

Yours sincerely,
Panagiotis Hadjidoukas
