Just a little note in case someone is troubleshooting.. Sorry that I can't provide more details.
It seems that JCC initVM() crashes the python thread when Java 7 (1.7.0) is installed on a win 7 64 bit. Building JCC works fine. Using an old version (built to Java 6) works, as well as removing Java 7 and rebuilding JCC. This applies for both 2.11 and 2.10.
