We have a VizWall composed of 16 projected screens organized in 4 rows
and 4 columns. These 16 tiled screens are driven by a pc connected to a
Quadro Plex Visual Computing System (with 4 Quadro GPUs inside). It is
running windows XP. I can run PyMol on the VizWall, but the OpenGL
display window can only expand within the screens that is driven by one
Quadro GPU in the Quadro Plex VCS. In other words, we cannot increase
the size of the window beyond the screens driven by one Quadro GPU card.
We can move the display window around, but the size of the window is
restricted within the screens driven by the same Quadro GPU card. The
TCL/TK interface window has no such problem, though.

We also tried some other applications such as Google Earth, SkullyDoo,
Coot and they can run on our full VizWall without such window size
restriction problem. All we need to do is to drag and increase the size
of the display window to cover the whole display wall. So the window
size restriction problem is application specific.

Can anybody shed some light on this problem? We are hoping it is some
configuration- or build-related problem which is easy to resolve. We
really want to be able to run PyMol to visualize molecular structures on
our high-resolution display wall.

Thanks,

Hong
