Yes, 0.88 has been released. However, many of the new features
are not yet documented, so I wouldn't necessarily rush out to download
it and expect to immediately utilize all new functionality.

The 0.88 release is in the unstable tree. You either need to turn on
the unstable tree in the preferences box. I'm assuming you are using
finkcommander (If not you really should try it out. It's a nice GUI for
fink) or you need to copy the .info and .patch files from
