Could someone please point me toward some information on the xmlrpc listener
and how to communicate with pymol using this?
I am still actively maintaining/using the xmlrpc module (and really
should send Warren the most recent version so it can be included). I'm
happy to answer questions about it

There are a couple of minimal example files in the examples/devel directory.
This module was written by Greg Landrum in his previous position at Rational
Discovery -- it may not actively maintained at this point.
