[PyMOL] curved cylinders in PyMOL

2008-09-07 Thread Michael Oldham
I wish to depict my protein with a cylindrical cartoon representation,
but I wish to draw the cylinders so they contour to the shape of bent
and curved helices instead of making a regular cylinder between the
two residues indicated. Can this be done in PyMOL. Thanks

Michael,

Sorry, this isn't something PyMOL is presently capable of doing.

Cheers,
Warren

[PyMOL] fill a cavity with a closed polygon

2008-09-07 Thread Jed Goldstone
Is it possible to fill a cavity (e.g. a CASTp-derived one) with discrete
spheres (as per the examples on the CASTp site obtained with RasMol) or a
closed polygon (as visualized by ICM) rather than a surface mapped to the
residue surfaces?
