Re: [PyMOL] Problem with pymol installation

2016-03-21 Thread Christoph Gohlke
Make sure you are using the 64-bit version of Python 2.7:
python-2.7.11.amd64.msi.

If that does not help, please list the contents of %CD%: dir "%CD%"\*.whl

[PyMOL] Problem with pymol installation

2016-03-21 Thread Bondurant
Hi everybody,
I recently restored my laptop to factory settings and I am trying now to
install latest precompiled pymol version following the instructions from
http://www.pymolwiki.org/index.php/Windows_Install.
I have installed python 2.7.11 and put in a Pymol_installation folder pip
8.0.3, numpy 1.10.4+mkl, pmw 2.0.1, pymol 1.8.1.0 and pymol_launcher 1.0
whl files, all of them downloaded from the Christoph Gohlke webpage.
However, after typing in the command prompt

C:\Python27\python.exe pip-8.0.3-py2.py3-none-any.whl/pip install
--no-index --find-links="%CD%" pymol_launcher

I get the following error:

"Could not find a version that satifisfies the requirement pymol-launcher
(from versions: )
No matching distribution found for pymol launcher"

Could you provide me any help? Am i doing anything wrong? Have i skipped
any step in the installation process?

Thanks

[PyMOL] Problem with pymol installation in ubuntu 8.10

2009-02-12 Thread Abhik Mukhopadhyay
Dear All
I am trying to install pymol as described in the pymol wiki. I am experiencing
some problems. I am using Ubuntu 8.10 64 bits version in an AMD machine. The
last part of the output after the sudo python setup.py install was

layer0/os_gl.h:69: error: expected ‘)’ before ‘width’
layer0/os_gl.h:121:20: error: GL/glut.h: No such file or directory
In file included from layer5/main.h:35,
 from layer0/Block.c:20:
layer0/os_python.h:28:19: error: Python.h: No such file or directory
In file included from layer0/Block.c:20:
layer5/main.h:45: error: expected ‘)’ before ‘*’ token
layer5/main.h:46: error: expected ‘=’, ‘,’, ‘;’, ‘asm’ or ‘__attribute__’ before
‘*’ token
layer0/Block.c: In function ‘BlockFill’:
layer0/Block.c:43: warning: implicit declaration of function ‘glBegin’
layer0/Block.c:43: error: ‘GL_POLYGON’ undeclared (first use in this function)
layer0/Block.c:43: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
layer0/Block.c:43: error: for each function it appears in.)
layer0/Block.c:44: warning: implicit declaration of function ‘glVertex2i’
layer0/Block.c:48: warning: implicit declaration of function ‘glEnd’
layer0/Block.c: In function ‘BlockOutline’:
layer0/Block.c:56: error: ‘GL_LINE_LOOP’ undeclared (first use in this function)
error: command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1

Then I checked this

caspio:~/pymol_temp/pymol gcc -v
Using built-in specs.
Target: x86_64-linux-gnu
Configured with: ../src/configure -v --with-pkgversion='Ubuntu 4.3.2-1ubuntu12'
--with-bugurl=file:///usr/share/doc/gcc-4.3/README.Bugs

--enable-objc-gc --enable-mpfr --enable-checking=release
--build=x86_64-linux-gnu --host=x86_64-linux-gnu --target=x86_64-linux-gnu
Thread model: posix
gcc version 4.3.2 (Ubuntu 4.3.2-1ubuntu12)

If anyone has any idea to solve this.
Thanks in advance.

[PyMOL] problem with pymol installation

2007-07-05 Thread Mayzel Max

Hi Pymol-users,
I'm trying to install pymol from svn repository. After
compiling ( python setup.py build, python setup.py install,
python setup2.py install) when I'm running pymol I have
such an error

I suppose this is due to errors in python Pmw installation?
Any ideas?
Many thanks in advance,
Max
