The colors are hard-coded. That's not quite right. You can change the text color with some trickery. The syntax to change the text color is: \RGB where R, G, B are red, green, and blue intensities from 0-9, respectively. So, to make a red colored message just type, wizard message, \900This is a red message. You can change color more than once, wizard message, \900This \550is a \255multicolor \059message.
