Hi python-dev, I've been working through a patch to add timeouts to the subprocess module: http://bugs.python.org/issue5673
It's gotten a fair amount of review, and I'm planning to commit it. Since it's my first contribution, I'm taking Georg's suggestion to send mail to python-dev to see if anyone objects. If not, I'll commit it to the py3k branch tomorrow night.
