I noticed it myself yesterday. The process seems to hang when retrieving pages
from a wiki.
I.e., just after showing messages such as:
Retrieving 26 pages from wiktionary:pt.

Concerning -force, couldn't we assume it will afect all wikis and just delete
the .lwp file? But I believe this parameter is not too important. Maybe just
removing it from the usage description and accepted parameters is good enough.

Even though [[en:Category:Bar]] is the same as [[en:Category:_Bar]], the bot is
asking the operator to choose one of them (i.e. found duplicate links for en).
It should just automatically go with the non-spaced version and not ask

Actually, I didn't have git in the path. After adding it, it seemed to solve
the problem.
It seems version.py tries git first and then falls back to svn, hence the
warning.

processed here, just because it retrieves templates at some point seems to

I'm not sure if an obsolete site is the same as a closed wiki, but in case of
closed wikis, why not allow reads from it? Obviously, editing is not allowed,
but read operations should be fine and would basically fix the problem.

You're probably looking for argument -replacementfile instead of -file.
I also noticed that despite -file not being listed in the possible switches,
there is an erroneous example using it.

I posted too soon. It's happening now in both auto and manual mode. I don't
know what I did different before.
Maybe the fix is just to skip translation altogether for -wiktionary mode.
