I downloaded SimNow and was in the midst of installing it before I realized that
it would only work on AMD64 computers running Linux. I have a
QEMU compiles fine on ppc now, but the Problem wit DOS under PPC persists.

of a partition when the \\.\drive: syntax is used. I suspect *nix
hosts are affected as well as I somehow doubt that QEMU checks the
partition table for partition geometries...
