Speaking for myself, I'm not that interested in licenses and code, but
on using QEmu ;) :)
Keep up the great work,

2.1 Switch to snapshot mode
How do you switch to snapshot mode *while* the VM is running, i.e.
without stopping and restarting qemu? The only way I know to enter that
mode is using the -snapshot switch at invocation time and I don't think
it can be done online.
As I said, I'm just a user
will be corrupted (i.e. different from any state the
original went through), since you can't perform the copy with a single read.
See the above added steps :)
Is this a bad idea?
Regards and keep up the good work :),

Hi,
I've sent a message 4 days ago but got no answer :(

Subject:[Qemu-devel] fat rw

Hi,
I've found the fat:rw:dir option for harddrives and want to use
if
this is already fixed on CVS or what's the current status.

it, and plenty of downside.
If it's more logic, you have a functional benefit. And for the
downside, I don't see them except for non-logic assumptions ;)

I downloaded the 0.9.0 for Windows and the current snapshot. There is no
front-end for qemu just a commandline.
Is there a ergonimic way to config and setup qemu on windows?
From the QEmu homepage:
First, I dislike Flash. It's my personal option, but I don't think a
very good format for videos...
Second, it can be made with a GPL external tool that I found in 2
seconds using google
(http://www.unixuser.org/~euske/vnc2swf/pyvnc2swf.html), so no need to
bloat QEmu.

? ;)
I've looked at KVM homepage (http://kvm.sourceforge.net/) and it's a
kernel module, so I think this can be some kind of replacement for
KQEmu, no?
Will QEmu/KQEmu support this?
Thanks for the great work,
Ricardo Almeida

Hi,
1 - You should include a link to the project page... Here it is :)
http://cephis.uab.es/proj/public/qemu/index.htm
2 - It gives a TomCat Error...

This new

real proxy server... I don't know if this easy to do, but it's what I
would like :)

if you're
running in one, you can specify that you can only emulate some 3D card
if the real hardware have some OpenGL driver. That way you wouldn't be
emulating them, just redirecting the calls..,

Qemu
for common installed
systems that names itself as a Cirrus driver but it's a vmware-like
driver.
I believe (4) should be the fastest, but I think the best relation
work required - benefit is (3) as it works faster off-the-shelf with
all the operating systems...
