Hello,
I'm testing the new Fedora7 under KVM. As you may know Fedora has
migrated to the new libata drivers.
ata_piix is unhappy with the PIIX IDE controller provided by QEmu/KVM:
libata version 2.20 loaded.

Hi all,
The patch below fixes the Status_rw_bitmask values for 64-bit CPUs:
- Reverse endianess is currently not implemented, the RE bit should
not be writable.
- 64-bit is implemented, the PX bit should be writable.
Bye,

Hi,
thanks for the tip about position-independent. I did compile with -fno-pic,
and the
op.h was then generated without error. Now I have a different problem that
might be
related to PIC. The thing is, because of the nature of PalmOS, I had to link
with -fPIC.
Now, after removing the faults,

Hi,
It works just fine here but we also have to be sure that it still works
with a kernel <= 2.6.21.
Xavier
kqemu kernel module does not compile under kernel 2.6.22-rc3-git6
This patch resolves the problem for me:

Try to disable ACPI emulation in both Linux guest and QEMU command line.
It may help.
Also check the dmesg output when grub hangs. It may be trying to access
an empty or nonexistent floppy drive (I've had this behaviour in a real
machine where I had to tell grub to not search for a floppy drive)
