Following this discussion, I opened an issue (
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS-Documentation/issues/487) and now added two PR
(for 2.8 and master) that aim to remove from localized documentation all
the outdated screenshots.
If someone can merge them, it'd really help (generating QGIS2.8

Yves,That's weird. My PR just remove some localised screenshots and if I'm
not wrong, english screenshots are supposed to be the default path. So that
shouldn't raise an issue.
Which documentation were you trying to build? 2.8? I can see that online
Testing Documentation is already up to date.

Is it enough to pull request with deletion of the incriminated files in the
