Hi All,
I wrote a blog post a couple of days ago about opening MS SQL
Spatial geometries and it worked fine then but the latest revision can't
seem to display them.
It opens the table correctly, detects the geometry type right and I can even
browse the table but no geometries are displayed.

Hi Luiz.
My suggestion is to package it instead of simple compiling it. The
controls in trunk (tnx jef) should take care of all dependencies etc.,

Did further testing. The problem is a power function of the number of layers.

Hi all.
During a course, I had a machine with Windows XP Professional that
consistently freezed (swapping to disk, apparently) while opening GRASS
digitizing: can anyone confirm, and if so open a bug?
Thanks.

Carson,
I think that requiring all layers to be on the same CRS for processing makes

we can live with that. Perhaps this fact should be stated in the
documentation and
even in the menu where the user selects reprojection on the fly (for
example, adding
only for display of vector layers)

Hi,
I compiled QGIS without problem earlier this week without any problem on
the exact same architecture (except the window manager):
KUbuntu 10.10 64 bits, Python 2.6.6 (r266:84292, Sep 15 2010, 16:22:56).
Could you share the exact sequence of commands you are doing? It might
help.
