Hi all.
I see that there are 5 issues marked as Blocker: how are we going to
deal with them? What is the date currently expected for release?
All the best, and thanks.

Hi all!
I just wantedd to inform you that the new about box seems to work well ;)
Richard, Jürgen, I think that was a really good idea to motivate
translators .. they only have to find the box .. Let's call it

Hi list,
I'm trying to follow a qgis development tutorial I've found on qgis site
(the coding and compilation guide). This document is targeting version 1.6
'Copiapò'. I'm trying to use qgis-devel package I've installed on my fedora

I could implement WCS support based on GDAL WCS driver.

Hi All
At the hackfest it was proposed to remove SPIT since it's
functionality is present in the DBManager (along with a lot of other
nice functionality). Does anyone have objections to me removing it
before 1.8 is released?
Thanks

No objections from me.
But I also want suggest to remove from fTools Select by Location
tool because we have more powerful Spatial Query plugin in core

You are right. I was confusing bands and subdatasets.
The following does not work:
$ gdal_translate -b 4 lndsr.L5169054_05420101216.hdf test.tif
Input file contains subdatasets. Please, select one of them for reading.
The following works:
$ gdal_translate -sds lndsr.L5169054_05420101216.hdf
but there is no way to actually select 1 or more specific subdatasets
It is possible to select one subdataset. You must use the name reported in the
lines that contain SUBDATASET_XXX_NAME. For example :
gdal_translate HDF4_EOS:EOS_GRID:lndsr.L5169054_05420101216.hdf:Grid:band1
out.tif

Is there a way to programmatically get QGIS network proxy configuration ?
Thanks.

Hi,
About removing SPIT:
Yesterday I imported a large shapefile (which was not even loaded in QGIS) into
postgis using the GUI from SPIT; I can't find a way to do so with the DB
manager.

You can just drag drop a layer

Anyway, I think we should start avoiding the drunkman syndrome, with
many things doubled in QGIS.
Removing SPIT is also ok for me.

Can anyone else confirm this?
If I have a table with no geometry in my QGIS project, when I push the
Zoom Full button it zooms out further than the extent of the layers with
geometry.
If I remove the layer without geometry, the Zoom Full works as expected.

oh, yes, you're right - it's PostGIS Manager that requires shp2pgsql,

My mistake.
Sure, duplication of tools is bad. But removing SPIT would mean removing the
*only* (correct?) QGIS GUI tool to load shapefiles into postgis without
external dependencies. Do we want to get read of this

Hi all.
Following the decision taken during the Lyon HackFest, we now have a new

For me http://hub.qgis.org/issues/5327 has needs to be fixed before the
