Hi all.
Many of us have been contacted by this publisher, to author a QGIS book. While
this
interest is obviously a sign of QGIS success, it seems quite strange that so
many
people are asked the same thing. I asked clarifications to the publisher,
Today it was my turn to get asked..

Sent from a rooted and therefore really free mobile device...

Hello,
I test the new QGIS features for the user manual 2.0.0. Working with
the QGIS browser I found that the 'Filter Files' feature either doesn't
work or that I don't use it properly. Is it possible that the function
still is in development?
Can someone please explain?
Regards
Larissa

This is a different thing. Relative pathes _within_ the project should
be considered if project path setting is 'relative pathes'. (I remember
that was fixed

Shorter urls are easy with Apache using Alias (This is the same way
recommended for Mapserver too) and symlinks.
symlink your qgs documents into /maps
then add and apache alias
Alias /maps /cgi-bin/qgis_mapserv.fcgi
Now urls would be
http://server.com/maps?map=/maps/test.qgs etc...
Anyone

Hi Paolo,
if you want to shorten URLs you also can pass the request through a
shell script (or whatever script executable by apache and called instead
og qgis_mapserv.fcgi) and change the parameters. Something similar to
this file foo.cgi:
code
#!/bin/bash
export
