Hi Tim,
thanks for this. Does this include eventual translation fixes?
All the best.

Hi all,
After PSC elections some pages in out wiki should be updated.
Mainly ones that releated to PSC, for example [0]. This question
was already raised [1], but I don't know what is final decision and
is there any progress with it.

Hi Alexandre,
Here is the WMS MetadataURL element definition :
A server should use one or more MetadataURL elements to offer
detailed, standardized metadata about the
data corresponding to a particular layer. The type attribute indicates
the standard to which the metadata
complies. Two type

Hi,
Other applications have unified setting centers like firefox when you
enter about:config in the URL bar. But this is in addition to the
settings dialog(s) which is/are still offered. Are you thinking about
something like this? A simple config value editor, like regedit?

Hi,
Now that 2.0 is done, let's start suggesting cool features for 2.1,
3.0, etc. !

The idea is to have that common place for all settings. The bad thing
that I see (and some people have told me), is that it might be
difficult to find for a user that searches for a configuration panel
for a given plugin, since he might look for it in the menu of that
plugin. A solution to that
Hi all,
Congratulations for the 2.0 branch :)
Now that pull requests can be considered again, one of mine have been
asked to be merged soon :

Unfortunately there is a small conflict against the last master.
This is almost nothing (an init in
JEF, after your commit [1] QGIS doesn't compile anymore. The make stops saying:
CMakeFiles/qgis_app.dir/main.cpp.o: In function `dumpBacktrace':
/home/borys/sources/qgis/src/app/main.cpp:229: undefined reference to
`QgsLogger::debug(QString const, int, char const*, char const*, int)'
I have implemented something like this some time ago, based on a gui from
QT - Settings Editor.
I am not sure if I never commited it or if someone removed it.
I will try to find the code and submit a pull request.

Basically, the idea is that it you create once the settings somewhere in
your plugin and then it handles type validation, defaut values, etc. The
most interesting part is

Yes, now compiles ok, thanks guys!
the work I have is a dialog in core, in src/gui folder. It is opened via a
new menu item in the Settings menu. Preliminary support for custom settings
and description. Perhaps both could be merged into a single gui class which
would be available to core and plugins?

Hi,
The last couple of months, (almost?) every pull request has a core
developer assigned. I personally think, the idea is good to make
somebody responsible for the pull request (who can pass it on if
required of course) so they don't get forgotten.
However, I just found a pull request which is
I've been also sometimes assigning my own pull requests to Jurgen,
now I'm not sure he ever got notified about them. I took the chance
to merge those requests myself:
