Hi Kari,
Note that the tabs are only displayed immediately after the start of
QGIS. Once you opened a project, the tabs are removed and the map canvas
gets as much screenspace as it had in previous QGIS versions - so not
really an issue.

Hi,
I was planning on moving the tips to a new tab so consider this done once
we are out of freeze. We can also split up the news tab to add extra info
not just the blog feed. Have it pull from different places for different
info.

Hi Paolo and all,
I think idea is good but I found one negative side.
I like to have map canvas as large as possible -> tabs make it smaller.
Same happens when you have a lot of plugins, they create more and more
bars (also below the canvas!)
If tabs will be used more in future, there will be th

Hi all,
I just upgraded from master, and I can see only one (!) saga alg. From
the log:

Hi all,
now that we have a news tab on startup, I think we could get rid of the
Tips popup, integrating the same information as an additional tab.
Opinions?
All the best.

Hi Nyall,
thanks very much for the pointer, we know now where to look for a solution.
Another hypothesis, couldn't that be the inverted polygon renderer that is
sending a polygon clipped by map extent + a margin ? If this is the case, we
could simply put a greater margin value. Maybe Hugo at oslan
