I have not seen a way to save the project options explicitly, but I have
tested that at least some of the compiling options are saved
automatically in a CMakeLists.txt.user file which is automatically
created next to CMakeLists.txt.

project seems to leave out almost all of the ui

I'm not an expert in Qt-Creator (I'm a vim guy!) but the last time I
tested it, I didnt see any option to create a .pro file from the
CMakeLists.txt based project. In fact that was one of my irritations
of trying to use creator - having to re-read in the project from the
CMakeLists.txt
