Hi Martin
+1 for removing it, as it is a step I usually skip too. But only if we
provide a input field in the composer properties tab to allow to add/change
the name directly in the opened composer (above the paper size for
example). This way I won't need to open the composer manager only to

Hi,
+1 for removing it. Maybe an auto-generated name that does not clash
with existing composer names would be useful - which the user can later
on rename.
The user will have to set paper format anyway. In this step he can also
set the composer name.

Thanks for remembering us of it. I couldn't retrieve it from the ML!
Visvis seems a good approach to the visualization of 3D data in QGIS. I
imagine it won't be as performant as native implementations (like osg, used
by Horao) but it would be probably more portable and easy to mantain...

Dear List,
I got into trouble joining tables in QGIS.
When I try to join shape to a csv, ods or xlsx file using columns with
textual data, it doesn't work. I get only NULL values in the joint
columns.
Using integer values the join works.
Is it a feature or an error?

Hi Minoru,
you asked me if I had some reason to define my GEarthView temp
directory inside the plugin.
Well, now I found the reason: where is the temp of QGis2threejs, in
MacOSX ?

I can not find it ...Also because you change HTML name :)

Hi,
I specifically added that dialog, since so many times my composers resulted
in unrecognizable names. I believe without it many users will suffer from
this as well. However, I'm not necessarily keen on its implementation, but
wish not to remove the functionality, just move it elsewhere. The

So, to recap:

Dear list,
Some times ago, on this list, we discussed[1] about real CAD-like input for
QGIS, and since I do myself long for such a feature very much, I'd like to
reopen that discussion by *proposing a python prototype*.
I know there are already a few plugins aiming in that direction (CadTools,
(Processing has an option to change
temporary output directory).
I'm sorry. This was not correct. The option is not for temporary files
but for filename without path [1].

Let me tell you that I have installed your prototype and tested it. I do think
something like this is needed and I do like the fact that it works with other
tools directly. I like the fact it gives you guidelines of what it will do like

I've been using QGIS testing on Ubuntu 12.04 and it seems it's compiled against
GDAL/OGR 1.7.3. Would be nice if it was compiled against the much newer GDAL
