Hi All
We have been doing a bit of research for the trip to Latvia and it looks
like I wont be able to make it - the availability of airlines and flight
schedules make the travel time around 2 days for me each way. While I am
not suggesting that the venue should be changed for me, I'm

No direct flight from here for me, but it's around 5 hours to Riga with one
stop (250€). Means almost spending one day to get there and another to come
back, but it's not bad. Not better than most places, I guess.
Not having Tim in the hackfest is bad news, though :-(

It depends from your starting point. Week ago I travelled to Madrid
(Riga-Stocholm-Madrid-Bergamo-Riga), one stop with Ryanair (~9h in one
direction).
I bought the tickets one week before and all together approx 210eur.
Probably at spring will be renewed direct flights Riga Madrid by
hello everyone;
i am using QGraphicsScene, QGraphicsPolygonItem, QGraphicsLineItem,
QGraphicsEllipseItem and QGraphicsTextItem
to draw my own customized symbols, polygons or circles on top of my vector
layer.
just have a look at the attached screen shot to have a complete idea for
what am doing;
Is there a reason you want to do custom drawing of symbols and not use
something like a line marker symbol with it set for each vertex?
There is also this

advice to use the mark line symbol first.

Hi all
I am thinking about removing the SEXTANTE help menu and the button on
top of the toolbox that takes you to the process provider
documentation (that is, how to configure external algorithms)
They both refer to html pages which are now in the manual, so,
although it is handy and I guess it
Hi there!
Anyone seen the new GRASS Webpage?
I really like the clean and intuitive style with lots of information
presented clearly on the top page ..
Probably we can adapt it to our new webpage?
It even looks good on mobile phones ..
Opinions on that?
kind regards
Werner
Hi
Yes I have seen it. With no disrespect to the GRASS folks I think it has
enough problems that I would not like to copy it on our site. My
(hopefully) constructive criticisms:
* its very busy
* it doesnt have good whitespace balance e.g. module of the day box with
screenshots box floating to
Sadly, I must agree with Tim.
Sadly because I know the effort made by the GRASS team to have the new site
out, but I cannot object Tim's points...

PS: @Tim, I wasn't aware of the ongoing work to switch to a boostrap based
sphinx theme. What are you using for it?

Given what the prior website looked like, it is a vast improvement.
Nonetheless, I think Tim's points are spot on, especially regarding balancing
white space, use of green, and the drop-down/tab disconnect (the tabs
themselves look disconnected to me, and the grey shade for the active tab makes

I like to see a preview on this theme (i.e. screenshot).
Please note this is a work in progress - Richard runs a dev copy here:

Speaking of website improvement, I've just dropped in a proposal for a

I've tried to stick to the original logo as much as possible as clearly
