HI, I just wanted to say that i had similar issues (not temporal) with PostGIS on a Mac running a 3.4 version of QGIS. I ended up duplicating the layer and setting filters instead of using the rule-based-renderer. The rule based renderer returned the right amount of items when i testet it,
