Hi,
Sorry, I am amateur on this area and I do not know what is the difference
between spheroids and ellipsoids. Do you mean that QGIS is using more accurate
method than PostGIS for calculating the lengths and areas over the WGS 84
ellipsoid?
The article that is used as a reference on the
Salve a tutti
sto cercando di utilizzare la classe QgsProcessingParameterEnum in un mio

Ho scritto le seguenti linee, credo siano corrette, ma ottengo l'errore

Hi,
QGIS is currently built on Proj version 6.3.2-1. If the other libraries
are using a spheroid by default, then they use a sphere for speed and
not an ellipsoid for precision. You can probably force this measurement
in QGIS by creating a custom CRS with a spheroid rather than an
Quando mi capitano di questi "problemi" (è un limite intrinseco agli shp
file), esporto (salvo) tutto come gpkg e risolvo.

Hi,
I suppose that PostGIS is using the WGS 84 ellipsoid but I am not sure where
from the documentation I could find that information. The ST_Area document
https://postgis.net/docs/ST_Area.html says only "For geography types by default
area is determined on a spheroid with units in square
Hi,
Your method in QGIS is sound. Area is calculated using the wgs84
ellipsoid EPSG 7030. If you reproject to wgs84 zone 35N (I think this is
close), area goes from 249566957499.7546m2 to 249566957499.721m2 or a
difference of 0.0336 m2. I don't think densification would change

Buonasera a tutti,
sto riscontrando un problema noioso con uno shapefile: esso viene caricato
correttamente, ma i dati nella tabella attributi non vengono riconosciuti,
come se ci fosse un errore di codifica (nella foto ho sottolineato le
colonne che non collaborano). Ho provato a usare UTF-8 e
Hi,
I wonder what method QGIS is using when it computes ellipsoidal area with $area
function. I made a test with this EPSG:4326 polygon:
POLYGON (( 20.13293641 59.95688345, 26.94617837 60.47397663, 29.74782155

Hi Chris,
many thanks for your reply. I have used the tool and it works very well.
Thanks again. Azzurra

Any number of things can go wrong with file paths, but QGIS allows you to
embed SVG objects in project files to avoid these problems. If you can open
the project on your windows environment, where the SVG file path is
specified you should be able to use the drop down on the "Browse" menu and
Hello everyone.
I tried to load a QGIS Project which was created on windows. In this project I
used a svg symbol "symbol/blue-marker.svg". In the .qgis file the path is also
"symbol/blue-marker.svg".
When I start my qgisserver and request the map there are only this ? questions

Hi,
When we install QGIS on devices we have a series of customisations particular
to our work environment but I notice that the user profile is only generated
when the user opens the application for the first time. I was wondering whether
