Hi,
Thanks, your answer helps me a lot because I can stop wasting time for
trials. I am awaiting the Windows version that shows OSM features. QGis
supporting OSM is extremely nice thing because it is narrowing the gap
between OSM and GIS worlds. It is for sure worth advertising on OSM wiki

I'm continuing this thread as the problem seems related:
QGIS hangs on zooming close into polygon layers. We experience the
problem on 2 PCs running Win XP. QGIS has been doing this for several
versions, including now 1.2. The number of zooms or the extent of the
zoom might vary but every time it
Hi Carson or others working on fTools:
I wonder if there are any plans for a line on area overlayer where each
input line is split at any area boundaries it intersects. Such a tool
should also allow attribute data handling, such as inheriting attributes
from both layers.
Thanks for letting me
Hi, guys,
First sorry for my english... i hope you will understand my words... :-)
Last half a year I've worked on OSM support for QGIS and I hope the result will
be useful for someone..
It has some limitations but it's better than nothing i hope...
What is important:

Hi all,
I'm runnig Qgis 1.3.0 on Debian Lenny. I have a point layer which will be

In Symbology layer properties I checked the flag size in map units with
Single symbol legend type; then I save and close the project. Re-open
Hopefully, but note that the (at least my) problem
is not with libgdal1-1.6.0-grass but with the fact that
the qgis grass plugin requires libgdal1-1.5.0-grass, so
you get libgdal1-1.5.0-grass automatically installed
when you install the qgis grass plugin, even if you are happy

Hi,
Is there some way to update the OSM provider/plugin that comes with Daphnis
Windows installer or must I be waiting for for the next release?

this topic leads to one more generic: having a rasterprovider, like for
vectors.
I will launch a thread about this...

Hi Gavin
I am busy preparing a new all-in-one windows installer of QGIS 1.2.0-1
Daphnis built against gdal 1.6 rather than 1.5. Lets test to see if that
resolves the issue. The build also fixes issues with image display when
using evis under windows.

Definately something to go in trac if its not there already.

Hi list,
As I am a serious user of GDAL Utilities and FWTools, I've found myself

Hi Gavin
Do you have the possibility to try a current svn version? I think this is
fixed. The problem is actually not QGIS itself but some slow coordinate
clipping code in the Qt library.
So in current svn version, QGIS does its own coordinate clipping also on
windows (it used to do it only
