Hi, Percy. If your map unit is in meters (m) but want your scale bar to
display kilometers (km), one way to do this in Composer would be to set some
parameters in the "Scale bar" dialogue (under the "Item" tab when you have
the scale bar selected).

Im having some teoubles with qgis-mapserver on Windows.
In my QGIS test project, I have 1 postgis layer, 2 shapefile layers (one
point and one polygon) and 2 external wms layers.
I created the two shapefile layers directly inside QGIS.
I succeded to have the qgis_mapserv.fcgi.exe work
Hey all,
Under print composer, I can load all the other bits (map, legend,
labels, north arrow) with a problem. The scale bar is giving me
issues. The units only show in meters (0.01m) not kilometers (1km). I
want to show kilometers. I must be doing something wrong somewhere.
Any pointers.
