Hi Ivan,
thanks for your application. I have extended your pgAdmin plugin [1]. Now,
every new layer will be added to the same instance of the application
allowing to display more than one layer at the same time. Aditionally, the
scale and cursor coordinates are displayed providing some useful

Hi,
I agree with Alister. I'm just a noob and don't know too much; I have not
installed many plugins, but already I have way too many buttons and tool bars.
Just my $0.02.
Best Wishes and thanks for everyone's work on QGIS,

How about having a menu that shows the most recently used plugins? I use
that feature a lot when I use GIMP. -Bob

This feature will be added to the latest version of QGIS (I might have
already done so :-p). If you can't wait, email me off list, and I'll
come up with something available now.

Thanks Sab!
Yes I know about gvSIG Mini, but apparently it can't handle/edit vector layers.

Hi all,
I think that organizing better plugins in menus it's the way to go waiting
for the new toolbox.
At the last Hackfest in Polland we went along this way creating the Database
menu as it
reduced the number of plugins in the Plugin menu and it have made easier to
find a plugin.

Thanks for the suggestions. Please add them to a wiki page, so we'll
remember. It would also be useful if yoiucould add it as a topic in the
hackfest page.
All the best.

There are several components here.
1. A system for sorting plugins into appropriate menus. This has been
discussed and is partly being implemented as we speak so that plugin
developers can specify which menus they want their plugin to show up in.
The most prominent new menu in the works is "Databas

Dear everyone especially former/existing manifold users also QGIS, :)
I have a colleague who is trying to convince some manifold users to
explore QGIS as an alternative. As we are not Manifold users, I would
like to ask here what's the major features of Manifold that QGIS
cannot do at the moment
I wouldn't find an ecological system very useful but
Would it be possible to implement custom menu items and configurations. Ie,
someone could assemble the ecological tools in a logical way in one or more
menu items or toolbars and share this menu via the plug installer.
