more the options to upgrade, reinstall or uninstall it are greyed-out.

At moment, i opened the QGIS's homepage(www.qgis.org), this page yet
has the old name (Copiapó), lets go starting well this week with good

Problem solved. This was done by reinstalling QGIS 1.7 from the
'Release' repository, rather than the 'ubuntugis' repository. Which to
me suggests that there are serious problems with the 'ubuntugis'
version.
