HI how can the real time updating values of longitude and latitude from a gps reciever being shown in QGIS Live GPS tracking tool can be stored in a database with a defined polling time (let it be 10sec).the database should query the qgis after every 10 sec to update its longitude/latitude

An instant thought, which is probably wrong. Could you use the vector tools to generate centroid points and count those? Probably only going to work of the polygons are more-or-less regular. Do you know what is causing the difference in the count? Is it including partial polygons? -ramon. On
