Hi Giovanni
That's what I meant. It is possible in the categorized / graduated / rule
based renderers of symbology-ng to change properties of multiple selected
symbols with right click.

Hi,
This should work.
After selecting and merging the polygons a table should pop up where you
can select for each polygon the new attributes it should get. You can:
* select one individual polygons attributes to be used or
* min
* max
* mean
* average
However, I see that sum is not offered. Wo

Hi everyone,
On a shapefile, given to me by the person who created it, I need to merge some
polygons to make larger units. For example, select four adjacent polygons
and use the merge tool and you get one large polygon. Great. However, on
the attributes table what seems to happen is that

Hi,
EPSG:4326 supports longitude in both 0-360 & +-180 spaces. Postgis supports
both.
Try the function at:
http://www.postgis.org/documentation/manual-1.5/ST_Shift_Longitude.html
If you are trying to do operations like point in polygon queries, then both
points & polygons need to be in the s

Got a question about the OSGeo4W nightly update builds.
I notice that the latest QGIS build version display is 1.8.0-78.
This has not changed in over a week.
I just want to make sure that this version is correct as I am use to seeing
updates as least every other day normally.
Thanks again for t

Thanks Alister, I've got that working. So I've got a basic scripting confidence
boost out of that, and another way to check out errors.
Turns out Morten is closer to the mark.
I went back through the XML (which looks ok to me) and suddenly wondered where
the files where located. Turns out tha

Hi all, after long search, i have to ask directly on this forum.
I have a csf encoded in UTF-8 (because of Cyrillic) and i want to import it
into qgis. Now i am playing with v 1.7 and 1.6 QGIS. Nothing helps, the
stupid on-line arc explorer done it perfectly, but unfortunately don't
support the ex

Have you tried simply to open the qgs projekt file in a text or XML editor
to check whether the XML structure seems OK?

Hi Marco,
I don't know if I'm wrong but it seems to be that Arthur was referring
to another thing.
When creating symbology classes in the old symbology you are allowed to
select more than one class at the same time and change the settings for
those classes.
In the new symbology you can't, is one
Giuseppe,
Would we be able to get the drag drop import thing into the QBrowser dock in
the main QGIS app. I think this would be a very cool feature.

I doubt that whatever problem you have is due to the utf-8 encoding. I use that
all the time.
My dumb question is, what's a csf?
