Hi,
The developers (and most users) of QGIS server and web client are on
Linux - that's the most commen server platform these days - at least in
Open Source GIS. Windows users are welcome to contribute to the Windows
aspects of the documentation. Please don't only consume, but also
Hello List
I'd like to uninstall QGIS standalone using Microsoft's System Centre
Configuration Manager (SCCM). We currently push QGIS out to users using SCCM
and it installs just fine. However, when coming to uninstalling QGIS, SCCM
takes a copy of Uninstall-QGIS.exe, puts it in a temporary
I don't understand the difference in behaviour of the splitting tool
when using it on a WFS-T layer and on an imported gpx file.
When I split a line of the gpx file it is very difficult to identify the
splitted parts:
- selecting one of the parts selects all the line

I add another odd behaviour.
After cutting the feature I paste it in another layer. What is pasted is

hi all!
is there anyone that can help me in understanding IntraMaps Roam?
I read the brief guide on the DMS page, but I'm still not able to create
a shp with the necessary form: when I digitize/fix a point and then fill
in the form, I save but the shapefile contains only the geometry. I f I
The closest thing you have is spatialite. It's similar from the aspect
of everything in one place but different in that it acts like a database.

In QGIS go to Layer - Create Layer - New Spatialite Layer. That will
make a Spatialite database with a table
Hi,
I'm exporting some data from Grass 6.4 to QGis as .asc files. The source
location in Grass has the projection:
g.proj -p
-PROJ_INFO-
name : Lat/Lon
proj : ll
datum : wgs84
ellps : wgs84
no_defs: defined
Shouldn't your east and west Lattitudes be negative? That would make it
appear reversed as they stand now. At least I think - but I've not done
what you are doing.

Hello To All,
I am still pretty new at using QGIS. I know I can open a file geodatabase
inside of QGIS to extract data. My question is this: I currently use Esri
File Geodatabases, but what would be the equivalent in QGIS? What are
others using?
Thank you all in advance,
Joseph
Hey Joseph,
SpatiaLite (spatial SQLite database) is an open-source counterpart to the file
geodatabase. I use it in tandem with file geodatabases as well as the
geopackage format. Esri also has started to support both formats, so it's easy
to move data between them.
