Hi Tyler,
Yes, that would be a very interesting feature. In the latest release of
QField last week, support for directly connecting the GPS to the add
vertex tool was added (before it was always two clicks: 1. center to
GPS, 2. digitize). This new feature is the ground work for the feature

Hi Olivier,
Geotiff allows to have an alpha channel. You can create an alpha channel
from a vector layer, using gdalwarp.
Here is one of the commands I use:
gdalwarp -of GTiff --config GDAL_TIFF_INTERNAL_MASK YES -wm 500 --config
GDAL_CACHEMAX 500 -multi -wo NUM_THREADS=4 -wo
Dear List,
I was wondering whether there is an easy solution to have dynamic clipping
masks for rasters, just like vector masks in Photoshop (or similar
software) ?
For now, I was using a layer with the inverted polygon renderer to hide
with a white layer everything that is outside of the
Hello;
I would like to map some of the trails around my new home and was wondering
if there was a way to have QField auto place a point every some many
seconds based on my location as I walk or bike the trail. Or will it
digitize a line based on my location as I go?
Thanks;
Tyler
Hi Chris,
Hi, you can do this using *New Temporary Scratch Layer*, *(Layer, Create
Layer, **New Temporary Scratch Layer)
*The Dialogue box pops up**under Geometry Type, you can specify Polygon
or MultiPolygon, you can then save this Layer when finished*.
*Hope this helps.

Hi
I just installed QGIS 2.18.10 and have found that I am receiving an error
message when trying to copy features from a PostGIS layer into a shapefile. The
error is:
'Errors: ERROR: 1 feature(s) not added - geometry type is not compatible with
the current layer.'
My shapefile geometry type
mi riferivo a quelli di modellistica, ma ho verifcato che invece erano già
presenti nella versione 2.2.
non uso molto saga via gui (diciamo che non è molto amichevole...) e quindi
me li ero persi.
