Hi Mike,
the feature was introduced in QGIS 3.6.0 [1] so it's not available in your
version.

Dear all and thanks for the answers but it is the same with me: I can
not find under symbology.

Hi Andreas,
Last time I tried, virtual layers did not work as coverage layers. One
would need to export the layer before using it.
Do you confirm this?

Hello all.
I am attempting to edit (change) the values for all pixels in a DEM in
region of the DEM.
The real-world problem is I want to burn in a proposed flood wall/dike into
an existing DEM.
I have a polygon with the desired elevation field, and I also have a raster

Hi Andreas,
Thanks, it will be useful!!
Best regards!

Hi,
It would be a join without a where clause, but limiting to the attribute
columns that are relevant. See
http://www.sqlitetutorial.net/sqlite-cross-join/
You would have to create a new virtual table in QGIS for it. See
It's just a regular Join between feature and table?

I am using Desktop 3.2.0 and I cannot find raster image marker
under Symbology. Please explain where that is located under
Symbology. The dropdown under "single symbol" does not
appear to have it.

Hi Andreas,
How can I create and use a cross-join in this case? (I think it would be
useful for the other tasks that I have to work on)
Tnks in advance.

Hi,
Atlas with combinations of two or more attributes, and/or sometimes also
feature geometries - this is a typical case for a cross-join in a
database. You would create a new view as a cross-join with all
combinations.
But glad that you already found a solution.
Greetings,

Hi Alexandre,
It worked perfectly! As you said:
1) I made a unique list from the years and generate a new feature. Then
used it as the coverage layer for atlas.
2) For each symboloy (rule-based):
(@atlas_pagename = "Year") AND ("Quality" = 'Excelent')
(@atlas_pagename = "Year" ) AND
+1 to adding such an option. ArcGIS has a 'Use a buffer distance in your
search' option when using Select by Location.
For now, you can buffer the points before running the tool or use the
NNJoin plugin.

Hi,
I am using the 'Join Attributes by Location' tool and using the intersect
option as a means of joining attributes from a polygon to a point layer.
Would it be possible to add a tick box within the tool where if a point does
not intersect a polygon to join the attributes of the nearest
Hi,
The easiest way is to create a raster field, you use it to give classification
values for each vector feature. For example,
1. Grass
2. Water
3. Urban
4. …etc…
You can then select this attribute as the field to be rasterised.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Richard.

Hi all,
Is there a way to rasterize a vector layer and burn values from a non-numeric
fields ?
For instance let's say I have a land cover layer with a string description for
each class.
I would like to rasterize such field without creating manually a new one.
I would imagine some feature
