That said, finding the invalid feature or running the repair geometry
algorithm beforehand could be a better solution than disabling anything
related to the invalid

I’am not sure that option is actually in QGIS... (never found it). Maybe try to
find the invalid geometry using the various tools? Look under processing for
the tools.

Feature (89595) has invalid geometry. Please fix the geometry or change the
Processing setting to the "Ignore invalid input features" option.

Hi Micha, i've been doing some testing this week, i couldn't reproduce the
issue adding a new gpkg to an old project. What i have noticed is that
starting the user session using Xorg completely removes the crashes, I'm
still seeing some random QGIS lock-ups but i couldn't find any hint of what
is
