For Points, there's a simple solution using SAGA Point Thinning algorithm . For Lines I could not find anything built-in but after some tests and the following solution seems to work well. - Use Processing

[Qgis-user] 'Thinning' features

I have these features that are 'near' each other by just a couple feet. I want to remove one of them. Basically, remove one (doesn't matter which) if it's in parallel proximity by x number of feet. Is there a way to do this?
