If you want to use an internal GPS make sure that your device has a proper GPS
and not only AGPS which is not only poor in precision but also only works with
internet connection…

It's not QGIS but Geopaparazzi is a good tool to collect data in the
field with a tablet. You can test it from Android Playstore easily.
You can load maps in mbtiles format (without internet connexion) or in
the fly if you can connect to a WMS server, and you can easily define
