You can start by Removing registry keys before
hand and see if that helps. That will reset Qgis to its default state.
You could just do a fresh install removing (or
backing up) everything from the .qgis2 folder.

I got curious the other day about QGIS 2.6 and installed it on my

I installed the 2.6 on another hard disk (D:) on my desktop. The
same problems apply to 2.6 as well.
My operating system is Windows 7.
So for the moment I use 2.2 on my laptop but I would love to have it back
on my desktop with its large screen and flash disk.
Thanks in advance

You want the OpenLayers Plugin.
Maps Engine plugin imports layers you've made on the online maps engine
(My maps) feature of google.

Question - I'm building a map for a client. I need to label a polygon
with the Acres and the word Acres. The attribute for this polygon would
be 184.35679835. In Properties -> Labels -> Formatting I can remove the
decimals and I get 184 for a label.
If I add the word Acres to the label -> acres || ' Acres' I expect to
see 184 Acres. Instead I see 184.35679835 Acres.
Is there something I'm missing when adding text to a label? I think
there probably is....but I'm drawing a blank.
Ubuntu 14.04 QGIS 2.6
I haven't had a chance to test in Windows 7 OSGEO Install.

Hello Joris,
there is an old feature request about this:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/points2one/+bug/772077
It never reached high priority because the easy workaround (plus I
usually get the points in spreadsheets so the first step is
unnecessary and the second one is trivial for me), but I guess it is
about time to fix it. I'll try to find a slot to work on it in the
next weeks.

Hi Pedro
Sorry for the late answer. I will answer the issue on github too.
You are right, you should normally be able to edit your view in Lizmap too.
I doubt this is a user problem, as Lizmap read the datasource in QGIS for
each edition layer and so use the same user.
I will have a look at the error reported in github issue. Could you report
there [1] version of QGIS do you use as desktop and server ?

Michael

Removing decimals in the label formatting only works if the label is
actually a number, which is not anymore if you add the string "Acres".
So you need to explicitly apply some function on the field value,
something like
toint(acres) || ' Acres'
might do the trick.

Close - I ended up with this and it worked: format_number(acres, 0) || '
' || 'Acres'
Thanks - I had no clue that format_number was something I could do.
