This morning we tested the patch
[1] https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/commit/db23632
using qgis-dev nightly build 2.9.0-24.
We installed locally on Windows and tested with Wireshark. On loading a
Project where Oracle layers were stored without a username and Password,
1. A first Connection stream
We have looked closer at the Network activity during the Connection process.
1. We have no Firewall between the Oracle Server and the Client.
We can reproduce the error most easily by
1. Opening a Connection to the database without saving the username and
Password.

If we open the Qgis Oracle Connection window and set up a connection without
saving our username and password, then click on the connect button, and then
