Hi all,
I updated my QGIS installation using OSGeo4W installer in Windows Xp,
downloading QGIS trunk 1.4.0-76 version.
When I double click QGIS icon I only
see the splash screen and then QGIS crashes.
I've tried with 2 different pcs in
which QGIS 1.4.0-68 had no problems...
Any hints?

I work on that osgeo4w version (r12469) today, winxp and nothing bad
happened yet ;)
Maybe reinstall?

I confirm Alessandro, QGis 1.4.0-76 crashes for me too :(
It happens during the phase Restoring loaded plugins

Hi!
First try to solve this is - delete all previously installed plugins -
or better - delete the personal folder (in linux it is .qgis in the home
Directory - don't know right now where it can be found in Windows ..)
I guess that would solve all your problems
